Alexandra Rojek
A native Chicagoan, Dr. Rojek attended medical school at UCSF followed by Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago. Her clinical interests focus on hematologic malignancies, with a particular interest in cellular therapy and novel therapeutics and how we can use biomarkers to better choose therapies and predict outcomes. In the past, she worked on projects related to therapy-related myeloid neoplasms following radiation therapy, and the role of metabolic tumor volume as a prognostic marker of outcomes in CAR-T therapy for lymphoma. She’s currently working on a project to apply machine learning to predicting the risk of follicular lymphoma transformation but am also enjoying the immersion in clinical work that first year of fellowship offers while looking forward to dedicated research time and a wealth of opportunities to come. Outside of work, she is looking forward to re-exploring Chicago after training in a pandemic, getting back into travelling and photography, and continuing to enjoy living by the lake and just spending time with family and friends in a city I love!
