Ashley Hardeman
Ashley Hardeman, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she received a Distinction in Equity and Advocacy. She has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Hospital Medicine at Baylor’s Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital for the past year. Her prior research focused on using gene signatures to reclassify breast cancer tumors in Nigerian and African-American patients and to identify novel gene associations with breast cancer subtypes. Her current and future translational research interests focus on understanding the biology underlying health disparities in cancer and identifying novel therapeutic targets.
