Hannah Johnston, MD, just completed her Internal Medicine residency here at the University of Chicago. Previously, she earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University. Dr. Johnston’s specific area of clinical interest is in leukemia and other hematologic malignancies. Within research, her focus is on patient-reported outcomes and the impact of spirituality on patient experience outcomes and quality-of-life. Under the mentorship of Dr. Wendy Stock, she is working on a research project in this area: “The Prognostic Significance of Spirituality in Adult Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia,” for which she received an ASH Honors Award.
