Betul Gok Yavuz, MD, PhD, completed her MD/PhD training at Hacettepe Universitesi Tip Fakultesi, where she studied the role of cancer-associated fibroblasts in the tumor microenvironment. She did additional research training at MD Anderson, where she studied HCC biomarkers in immunologic clinical trials. She completed her Internal Medicine residency here at the University of Columbia, Missouri, and is studying genetic drivers of RCC brain metastases. She is interested in research focused on understanding the tumor immune microenvironment at metastatic sites.
