Dr. Cameron completed my undergrad education at Davidson College before spending a year teaching elementary school English outside of Paris. He then came to the Medical University of South Carolina to complete his M.D. and his Ph.D. in biomedical sciences. His research centered on identifying drugs that increase the number of mitochondrial to accelerate recovery from acute kidney injury. During that time, he briefly moved to Arizona with his lab to complete his research. After finishing medical school, he moved to Chicago to complete his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago. His current research interests center around leveraging mitochondrial biology to improve anticancer therapies. He spent his time with his wife and our Corgi and enjoy cooking and trivia.
