Shrey Sindhwani, MD, PhD, joins us upon completion of his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto. That is also where he completed his medical degree in the Physician Scientist Training Program, and his PhD in biomedical engineering. While completing medical school and residency, Dr. Sindhwani worked as a post-doctoral researcher in integrated nanotechnology and biomedical sciences, with his work focused on how underlying drivers of cancer metabolism impact drug delivery. Specifically, he developed a 3D-mapping technique for tumors to identify the precise location of nanoparticles and the surrounding microenvironment. He also discovered the mechanism for the entry of nanoparticles into solid tumors.
