Shrey Sindhwani, MD, PhD, joins us upon completion of his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto. That is also where he completed his medical degree in the Physician Scientist Training Program, and his PhD in biomedical engineering. Dr. Sindhwani completed his graduate work in the area of cancer nanomedicine in Dr. Warren Chan’s lab. Specifically, he developed a 3D-mapping technique for tumors to identify the precise location of nanoparticles and the surrounding microenvironment. He also discovered the mechanism for the entry of nanoparticles into solid tumors.
