Dr. Guo grew up in Chicago and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During this time, she became fascinated with epidemiology and public health. She subsequently pursued a PhD in cancer epidemiology at the University of Oxford. Her research there focused on the examining the roles of body size/composition, physical activity and diet on breast cancer risk in a large prospective cohort. She attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago. In fellowship and beyond, she is excited to continue epidemiological and clinical research, looking into biomarkers to predict disease risk, treatment response, side effects, etc. In my spare time, She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and hiking.
